Most every earphone brand has a service center in every city in India. But most of us hate to visit the service centre due to many reasons. The most common reason is if you’re from a remote location. You may have to travel a lot. Sometimes, the transportation expenses cost higher than the earphone’s value. Another common reason is theservice center doesn’t have an excess amount of replacement items.
Talking about my own experience. I am from a small town of Assam and the earphone I bought has its service center in Guwahati which is around 120km away from my home. Now tell me, for a 500 rupees earphone, Should I travel 240 kilometers? The answer is a big nooo!
So what next?
Every earphone brand provides you a service in which you don’t need to visit any service center. All you have to do is, raise a complaint by calling the helpline number or by visiting their official website of that brand. They will ask you to send it to their address. Some earphone brands like boAt, JBL, Sennheiser arrange to pick up by themselves. Just wrap your earphones in an envelope and send it to their address. Quite embarrassing?
